Word of the Lord for 2017 and Beyond – Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders

Recently I participated in the 18th annual gathering of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE) in Dallas, TX. This group includes established international and national prophetic leaders such as Cindy & Mike Jacobs, Bishop Bill Hamon, Stacey Campbell, Sharon Stone, Rick & Patti Ridings, Will Ford, Beth Alves, Harry Jackson, Jr. and others. In recent years, several next generation leaders have been added as well, such as Matt Sorger, Becca Greenwood, Stephen Springer, Jon & Jolene Hamill and others. Below you will find the final compiled report from this powerful gathering, during which these prophets shared what they heard the Lord saying to the church in this hour. [...]

The Majestic Voice of God

Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. Revelation 1:12-15 God [...]

When You Are Up Against a Wall

Have you ever “hit the wall” with no seeming way forward? How do you keep getting back up again when it appears to be set back after set back? Well, I have been in this place multiple times and I seem to be there once again. Right now, many people are “Up Against the Wall.” So in my own search for light and guidance, the Holy Spirit has highlighted some truths in the writings of my late wife, Michal Ann Goll. In the book A Call to the Secret Place I found nuggets of truth in the last chapter titled "The Shelter of the Swallow." So let [...]

Waiting or Warring: Contending for Prophetic Promises

When God has given a prophetic promise, how are we to respond? Are we to wait for Him to bring it about in His divine timing, or are we to war for that which He has promised to see it speedily brought forth? This is not really a trick question. Hopefully you will agree that the answer is - BOTH! Scripture gives clear direction that we are to wait for the Lord AND to war for His promises. But sometimes walking this out can be harder than it at first appears. So while both are important, today I want to emphasize the [...]

Coming into the Light!

Can you imagine, after Adam and Eve had known God, and He knew them, how quickly the spiritual climate changed? As a result of their disobedience, they experienced instantaneous barriers to their intimacy with Him. Walls shot up. After their sin, they plucked leaves off the nearest bush as quickly as they could and sewed coverings for themselves. They were hiding from the Lord their Creator for the first time in their lives. But God, in His passionate pursuit, was still drawing close. A new reaction stirred within them as He drew near. Previously they had run toward the sound of His [...]

The Best Position in Prayer: Seated with Christ

In recent months a revelatory perspective concerning prayer and intercession has deeply penetrated me. The principle of Praying from Victory and Not Towards It rests upon my heart and soul. I cannot get away from it. I seem to be engaged in a process that has me pondering and devoting chunks of my time in contemplative thought. So activate your heart and mind as I share some of my musings. A basic question must be addressed and answered. Where are we seated? Years ago I was on a plane sitting at a window seat while circling over New York City. The Holy Spirit whispered to me, “This [...]

Why Is the Gift of Prophecy So Important?

It may surprise you to know that people who have been given the gift of prophecy do not necessarily predict future events. In fact, most of the time, they don’t. And most of us who prophesy have never considered wearing a John-the-Baptist-style hairy shirt! Despite popular depictions of prophets as solitary wilderness-dwellers, today’s prophets are distinct and unique members of the body of Christ who have the ability to present a straightforward “human report of a divine revelation.” A lot of change and progress has happened in the global prophetic movement. Over the years, bridges have been built among the diverse prophetic community. [...]

We Need to Grow in Discerning of Spirits

The gift of discerning of spirits is greatly needed for the times in which we live. Since not all supernatural activity comes from the Holy Spirit, sometimes it can be hard to tell where it originates. But someone who can penetrate deeply with the gift of discerning of spirits can tell the difference between supernatural activity from the Holy Spirit and that from another source. As evil continues to escalate on the earth, so does the need for a higher level of discernment. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.” —1 John 4:1 Defining [...]
