Do You Release These 12 Crucial Sounds of Prayer?

By |May 6th, 2019|

Each and every one of us has a part to play in God’s orchestra of prayer. What is your special sound? What instrument do you play? The Holy Spirit directs the movements of this divine symphony according to the score of God’s Word.

I have identified 12 distinct “sounds” that come forth in the orchestra of prayer. How many of these sounds are part of your prayer arsenal?

1. Thanksgiving

Prayers of thanksgiving are like the first movement in a symphony. They open the way to a concert of worship and intercession. The psalmist declares, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving” (Ps. 100:4), and that is what we do. That is what happened for the grateful leper in Luke 17:11-19.

A Fresh Word for God’s Women in This Hour

By |April 29th, 2019|

“When the leaders in Israel lead, when the people freely volunteer, bless the Lord!” (Judg. 5:2).

This comes from a rather intense story found right in the middle of the pages of Bible concerning Deborah the Deliverer (read Judg. 4-5). But as a male spiritual leader, I have something to say to you, mighty women of God! We cannot afford for you to be fearful “little women” in your own eyes. It is time for you to arise! We need you!

3 Visionary Revelations to Help You War for Your Prophetic Promises

By |April 22nd, 2019|

“This command I commit to you, my son Timothy, according to the prophecies that were previously given to you, that by them you might fight a good fight” (1 Tim. 1:18).

Lessons in Victorious Spiritual Warfare

In the current global prophetic movement, there is an increase of activity like there was 30 years ago. What was offered during that time frame is being offered once again. I call it the Prophetic 2.0—in which we build on what has gone before us. In recent weeks, I have written on “5 Prophetic Words for 2019: Fresh Bread from Heaven” that have fallen into the ground in the last five years. I have also recalled “5 Prophetic Points for 2019 and Beyond” that we are inheriting from those who have gone before us.

God Is Lowering His Scepter as We Intercede in the Courts of Heaven

By |April 15th, 2019|

“Should not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Gen. 18:25c).

God Presented as the Judge of All

As New Testament believers in Christ Jesus, we have a scriptural privilege to enter into the judicial courts of heaven in prayer and spiritual warfare. To do so, we must first have a revelation that God is the Judge, and we have a rightful position to present our case through our advocate and lawyer, Jesus Christ, the righteous!

What Goes Up Must Come Down: How Your Prayers Can Trigger the Miraculous

By |April 8th, 2019|

In January 1993, I traveled to the Czech Republic with a group of intercessors to join the believers there in “christening” their new nation to the Lord.

While standing on the platform before Don Drapal’s Christian Fellowship of Prague, a series of words seemed to fall into my mind.

“Have you considered the multidirectional dimension of prayer?”

This sentence captured my attention, but I did not have time to ponder it, as it was time for me to deliver my next statement. Then the words, “Remember, what goes up must come down!” burst into my conscience.

What was the Lord trying to tell me? Does prayer have more than one direction?

My thoughts were quickly taken to Revelation 8:3-5:

Prophet: Holy Spirit Ready to Anoint Godly Leaders to Depose Jezebel in Last-Days Battle

By |April 1st, 2019|

You will strike the house of Ahab your master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants the prophets and the blood of all the servants of the Lord from the hand of Jezebel” (2 Kings 9:7).

For every problem, God has a hope solution. Even in our last-days battle with the Jezebel Spirit, the Holy Spirit is ready to anoint godly leaders and consecrated believers with His grace and power to over throw and displace every spirit of wickedness in Jesus’ name! Remember, every mess is an opportunity for God’s next miracle. So let it be in our day and in our families, cities and nations.

Prophet: We Are at Crossroads as Prophecy and Evangelism Converge

By |March 25th, 2019|

We are postured at yet another major crossroads in the body of Christ, which includes a strategic “changing of the guard.” In the last five years, we have had five major seer prophets all ascend to their heavenly reward. On Feb. 14, 2014, the heavenly minded seer prophet Bob Jones passed into glory. The following year, in the same time frame, the seer prophet John Paul Jackson suddenly departed from this world. In the next two years, we had yet two more very anointed seer prophets graduate from this world to their true eternal one: Kim Clement and John Sandford. Just a few days ago on Feb. 12, 2019, the boy prophet who became an elderly seer, Paul Cain, also shed his earthly tabernacle and ascended on high.

I attended the memorial services for all three of these former Kansas City Prophets: Bob Jones, John Paul Jackson and Paul Cain. As I pondered and reflected upon their homegoings, I became aware of some intriguing and profound details.

How to Learn God’s Dream Language

By |March 11th, 2019|

Dreams have had a profound role in the Christian church since its beginning. Last month I explained how understanding dreams is rooted in Hebraic history, and today I’m going to expand on that to show the rich heritage of dream language and revelation bequeathed to the Christian church throughout its history.

In brief review, to set the stage—what God did long ago, and throughout history, He does today and will continue always to do. Dream language is the language of the ages. This is one of the mysterious ways that God intersects our lives. He invades our comfort zones. He visits us in the night and simply speaks to us.

Dreams, visions and interpretations are a part of virtually every culture and religion on earth and have been throughout the ages. This is even truer for Judaism and Christianity than any other religion, as Jews and Christians worship the one true God, who is the author of revelation. To accept dreaming as a legitimate medium for spiritual revelation and communication, then, is to follow the flow of history, in including church history. So, what is that history?

Prophet Exposes 4 Areas Satan Loves to Attack in Your Life

By |March 4th, 2019|

Achieving deliverance from darkness can definitely be a battle, but by grace complete victory belongs to you, provided that you are prepared, well-clothed and well-armed with God’s every provision (see Eph. 6:11-18).

In fact, most of your success in battle lies in the preparation. The actual engagement of deliverance does not have to be messy or difficult at all.

Believe it or not, deliverance can be easy!

(Obviously, it is important not to take the enemy lightly or flippantly. For a much more thorough handling of this subject, see my Deliverance From Darkness class or corresponding book.)

Prophet: We Are in a Last-Days Battle With Jezebel

By |February 25th, 2019|

We are in a last-days battle for the true and pure prophetic to come forth. It is a battle between the demonic powers of Jezebel’s influence and the promised restoration of the spirit of Elijah. In the natural, biblical setting, Queen Jezebel manipulated King Ahab and pressured the prophets into hiding. Elijah came forth with an authentic prophetic mantle to dismantle the ruling false power.

As it was in this historical context, there are parallel lessons for us to learn and apply in our day. It is time to expose Jezebel’s influence and for the authority and anointing of the true prophetic to disarm this fierce, dark force. Let’s look at Queen Jezebel’s background and the tactics she demonstrated.

Prophet: 3 Vital Aspects of Testing the Spirits

By |February 18th, 2019|

Testing the spirits deals with all three aspects of discernment: revelation, interpretation and application, although a different kind of spiritual filter needs to be applied to each aspect.

I might pick up a revelation accurately only to interpret it incorrectly. Or I might get a revelation and its interpretation right, only to get stuck on the application (what I am supposed to do with that information?).

For example, let’s say I get a revelation about a political situation, but it happens to touch on a sensitive area in my own experience. If I have hung on to bitterness, for example, my revelation will be tainted by my bitter opinion, which will render my revelation worthless to the kingdom of God.

Why We Must Confront the Deaf and Dumb Spirit in This Hour

By |February 11th, 2019|

God wants you to hear clearly and declare the Word of the Lord freely. But there are forces of darkness that you must confront in order to be effective in your mission. Jesus told His disciples as recorded in Matthew 13:43, “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.” You are called to confront and dislodge the demonic power that hinders you from hearing the Holy Spirit and attempts to rob you of your capacity to speak clearly.

What is a spiritual stronghold? Ed Silvosa of Harvest Evangelism defines it as, “a mindset impregnated with hopelessness that causes us to accept as unchangeable, situations that we know are contrary to the will of God.” Note that the enemy does not work haphazardly. He has schemes, plans, goals, strategies and methods to carry them out. (See Eph. 6:11; 1 John 5:18-19)

5 Prophetic Words for 2019: Fresh Bread From Heaven

By |January 28th, 2019|

“What is the word of the Lord for the new year?”

“Is there fresh bread coming down from heaven today?”

“What is the Holy Spirit been speaking to you about, James Goll?”

I am asked these questions very often. But sometimes I need to push the pause button first and ask people if they are seeking God directly. Are they praying over the Word of God on a daily basis and asking the Holy Spirit to give them revelation?

I have been taught to store up the written Word of God in my heart and soul to give the wind of God, the breath of God, the Holy Spirit, something to breathe upon and out of which to create a revelatory spoken word. So before I give you some of the fresh hot bread that the Holy Spirit has been speaking to me in recent months, I want to first give you a part of the written Word of God available to each one of us on a daily basis.

Prophetic Dream Reveals Biblical Truth That Shatters Fear’s Hold on You

By |January 21st, 2019|

Years ago, the Lord used a dream encounter to powerfully impact my late wife, Michal Ann. Its message today is as poignant as the day she received it. And as she shares below, it is not just for her, but for the entire bride of Christ! I pray that this message transforms your heart as it did hers!

The following is Michal Ann’s message:

One of my most significant dreams was about the number 29, which has come to mean “being chosen” to me.

I dreamed that I had entered a large royal court where the king’s court was scheduled to open.

A woman who hated me with a passion was at that court. She put cigarette ashes on my head and would do anything she could to shame me.

When I entered the king’s court, I was assigned the number 29.

Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders Shares Prophecy for 2019

By |January 14th, 2019|

Recently I participated in the 20th annual gathering of the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE) in Dallas, Texas. This group was founded by C. Peter Wagner and includes established international and national prophetic leaders such as Cindy (Chairman of the ACPE) and Mike Jacobs, Bishop Bill Hamon, Stacey Campbell, Sharon Stone, Rick and Patti Ridings, Will Ford, Beth Alves, Harry Jackson Jr. and many others. In recent years, several next-generation leaders have been added as well, such as Matt Sorger, Becca Greenwood, Stephen Springer, Jon and Jolene Hamill and others.

First Corinthians states that we see in part, we know in part and we prophesy in part. But as commissioned, seasoned prophetic voices come together and submit their individual revelation to one another, a more complete picture is confirmed for the body of Christ.

As one of the founding members, I wanted you to receive the full report from this powerful gathering, during which these prophets leaned into the Lord and shared what they heard Him saying to the church in this hour.

The following is a compilation provided by Cindy Jacobs of the prophetic words given by the ACPE:

Break Down Walls of Opposition With This Mighty Prayer Position

By |January 7th, 2019|

In recent months, a revelatory perspective concerning prayer and intercession has deeply penetrated me. The principle of praying from victory and not toward it rests upon my heart and soul. I cannot get away from it.

I seem to be engaged in a process that has me pondering and devoting chunks of my time in contemplative thought. So activate your heart and mind as I share some of my musings. A basic question must be addressed and answered: Where are we seated?

Years ago, I was on a plane sitting at a window seat while circling over New York City. The Holy Spirit whispered to me, “This is the best position.” I contemplated what the Holy Spirit meant as I peered from a heavenly vantage point, looking down over one of the most beloved cities on Earth. I quietly heard again, “This is the best position for prayer: looking down.”

This phrase has been stuck inside me for years now. It has shifted some of my understanding and approach towards intercession. Do we pray up through territorial spirits of darkness to reach the throne of God, or do we declare down and release something? As New Covenant believers in Christ Jesus, you and I are already seated with Christ at the Father’s right hand.

A Word of Wisdom for Those Receiving Prophetic Dreams in This Hour

By |December 31st, 2018|

Dreams are known as “the sleep language,” and since the time of creation God has brought divine revelation to mortal men and women while they are sleeping. Scripture even calls a prophet a “dreamer of dreams” (see Deut. 13:1; Num. 12:6). Many Christians hold the mistaken impression that prophetic dream encounters are reserved for a small, elite group of especially sensitive or gifted people. But this simply is not the case.

Dreams are a specific portion of the prophetic ministry; they are not limited only to the prophetically gifted. Joel 2:28 says, “And it will be that, afterwards, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions” (Joel 2:28). This Scripture was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost and continues to be fulfilled in our own day. It is time for the church to return to a biblical understanding of dreams as an avenue of discerning God’s voice.

For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. [One may hear God’s voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings] (Job 33:14-16, AMPC).

3 Primary Ways to Move With Holy Spirit

By |December 24th, 2018|

The Holy Spirit loves messes. How do I know? Because of the second verse of the Bible: “The earth was formless and void, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water” (Gen. 1:2). At creation, as the Holy Spirit was lingering over the formless nothingness, God spoke into being the world as we know it. The Spirit of God loved the chaos to life and transformed it from a mess to magnificence. To this day, that is how He operates.

So the most basic answer to the question, “How does the Holy Spirit move?” is that He hovers. He stays over something until He chooses to move on, having completed His inspection or implementation. That’s how He moves.

Bible scholars call the first time something is mentioned in the Bible “the law of first mention.” The first time you find something stated in Scripture fixes its characteristics from that point forward. In the verse above, which is almost the very first verse of the whole Bible, we see that the Spirit of God moves. All the time, He keeps moving across the face of the earth, and He brings light into darkness wherever He goes. He didn’t stop moving that way after the earth was created, because He is constantly renewing the face of the earth, along with the hearts of the earth’s inhabitants.

Why God Is Calling You to Operate in All the Gifts of the Spirit Today

By |December 17th, 2018|

People’s last words are very important. They are often sharing the one thing that burns in them the most so that it will leave a lasting impression on others.

The last words of Jesus as recorded in Matthew 28:19-20 should burn in our hearts and be the motivation for our lives today.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commended you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Earlier in His ministry, Jesus made another bold statement that would be hard to exaggerate. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father” (John 14:12).

James Goll: How to Activate Your Spiritual Senses

By |December 3rd, 2018|

When we surrender our senses to our Creator, He enhances them.

Each of us needs to become a discerner—no matter what our personal background or specific gift or function in the body of Messiah. Although some believers are especially gifted as prophets, every follower of Jesus receives the gifts of revelation and discernment. And every believer needs to use them! In fact, without discernment and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, we cannot progress in our use of any of the gifts and callings. But when we do, the sky is the limit!

As a kid growing up in a small town in Missouri, I loved watching programs on our little black-and-white television set. I would watch them for as long as I was allowed, and the picture never seemed dull, lifeless or lacking in clarity. But when we upgraded to a color TV, suddenly the programs came alive to me in a new way. We went from everything being black and white to omni-vision over night!
