I want to bring you a word of exhortation — this is simple, but simple things can be profound — your prayer counts and your sacrifice matters.

Habakkuk 3:2 says, “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”

We all need mercy, don’t we.

In prayer revivals, this scripture is one of the most prayed in all the Bible.

I’ve heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds. Lord, I remind you, I repeat them to you. Remember the revivals of awe. And so, I bring you in remembrance once again.

Layman’s Prayer Revival

Recently I was doing an interview with someone, and I started prophesying that there is going to be another noontime prayer revival that will go across this nation, and the nations of the world. As I started prophesying about this, I was reminded that this has happened before. It happened in 1857 in what was called the Layman’s Prayer Revival. It happened under the leadership of businessman Jeremiah Lanpher in New York City.

Prayer RevivalBusinesses would shut down at noontime and they would go into prayer. Churches were filled and overflowing across New York City. This spread across the country. It went on for well over a year.

A layman’s prayer revival.

A businessman’s prayer revival. Today we would use the word “marketplace” prayer revival.

Bringing in new terminology from today – this was a prayer invasion where the presence of God was released into every sphere of life, ministry, and culture.

You Have Authority in Your Sphere

I don’t know what your sphere is, but you have authority in your sphere of influence.

When I started prophesying that there is going to be another noontime prayer revival, I felt like this word kind of splashed up in my face.

I thought, why do I always prophesy these things and then not actually enter into my own words?

Another Noontime Prayer Revival

So, some of my staff and I decided we are going to be part of fulfilling this word. We have started a Noontime scripture-based prayer time.

This is part of Global Prayer Storm, where every prayer counts and every sacrifice matters. I encourage you to join us every Wednesday at 12:00 pm Noon Central Time LIVE on the God Encounters Facebook page and share it on your social media.

Let’s start something.

Your Prayer CountsLet’s create momentum for a noontime prayer movement where your prayer counts.

You might pray in your kitchen. You might pray on a coffee break or in your break room. You might pray in a college room, or wherever.

But the thing is, your prayer counts, and your prayer might be the one that is the tipping point.

Yes, there’s a tipping point.

Prayer for Revival

In the name of Jesus, we labor with the Holy Spirit for a God-sent revival in our day. We will not quit praying until we have seen with our own eyes the glory of the Lord covering the earth as the waters cover the seas. O God, release a global revival to the Church in our day! Awaken the sleeping beauty called the Body of Christ to her destiny. Start in our nation! Start in my city! Start in my congregation! Start in my family! Start in my very own heart! Release revival fire for the sake of Your holy name! Amen and Amen.

Your prayer counts. It really, really does.

Your Prayer Counts!
