Praying for God’s Media Army to Arise
I love today’s emphasis on impacting the 7 Cultural Mountains. Recently we prayed for People in Places of Influence as a form of doing this. This week in our Global Prayer Storm efforts we are going to pray into couple of those mountains – or shaping influences in society. This week we are going to pray for those who serve in the areas of MEDIA, ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT. Now personally I have a very strong desire to see this area flourish for the Kingdom of God.
Michal Ann and I helped to shape our kids to impact this realm of society. Our oldest son, Justin, is a TV and film editor and lives in Los Angeles, CA. GraceAnn is pursuing her MA in Art Therapy to bring Kingdom impact. Tyler just graduated with a degree in Game Art and Design and is moving to Los Angeles to seek employment. Rachel is a model, actress, and singer-song writer. So all four of my kids are sowing their lives in a righteous manner into these two mountains of society. So it is easy for me to pray into that!

How about a genuine revival on Hollywood and Bollywood and everywhere films are made. How about breaking the occult influence off the Gaming Industry and speaking forth the creative light from the throne of God! How about calling forth Godly statesmen and women to arise as News Anchors for our national and international news markets, people who report the news instead of distorting the news! How about a Good News Campaign! That’s what I’m talking about!
Then let’s join our prayers for next week’s International Christian Phoenix Film Festival chaired by Patricia King. I will be there. My oldest son will be there. My friend Mickey Robinson and Scott MacLeod and others will be there. How about you? Let’s join together around the globe and see something new get birthed in the earth for Jesus sake! God’s Arising Media Army

God’s Arising Media Army

Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
I love this verse! One of the words that stand out to me is the word ‘hovering’. I picture the Spirit of God bursting forth with passion to create, almost as if the Spirit of God is pulsating like a heartbeat and ready to create. Suddenly, something ‘new’ was bursting forth. I have been gripped by this scripture because today I see the Spirit of God doing the same thing. He is hovering; He is bursting with excitement to yet again create, to birth the ‘new’ on the earth.
Matthew Henry’s commentary on this particular verse says the following: that God is not only the author of all being, but the fountain of life and the spring of motion.
God is the spring of motion for the ‘new’ that He is releasing to the earth. His heart is to topple the mountain of media as we know it today. He is stirring His Bride and the prayer movement in the earth in happy holiness and joyful righteousness so we will be a people wholly given to the Lord and to His purposes! May we embrace the lowest place in humility so God can have His way in and through us and use our yielded vessels in magnificent ways in the coming days!
David speaks several times in the book of Psalms, ‘Sing to the Lord a new song’.
Psa. 33 – Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. Praise the Lord with the harp; make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy.
That word ‘new’ means: ‘fresh, new thing’. I feel this invitation from the Lord is for the ‘new’. The fresh is coming and God is going to sing His song, write His scripts, paint His pictures, and dance His dance through a Bride who is lovesick. It will be a Bride that is not ‘in it’ for money nor fame, but is ‘in it’ for the fame of His Glorious Name; a Bride who is steadfast in the place of prayer.
I know this because of a dream I had. I was sitting with the Ancient of Days and He had opened before Him the checkbook of finance. He was writing a check and He was singing out a song:
This is why I’m gonna write the check.
This is why I’m gonna give you the money.
It’s the Great Invitation to the Divine interruption
In media…media….media.
The word ‘media’ resounded from every direction like an echo.
I saw media springing up world-wide and the prayer room will fuel it. God is going to have His way in every facet of media as long as people are driven by prayer and passion for HIM! As their ‘ONE THING’ continues to be passion for God and prayer, there was no ceiling as to where this media will go.
I felt like God somehow transported me to the future. In the dream I was also sitting at a movie and all around me people were crying. The Lord was literally pouring out the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and people were getting saved AT the movies!
In another part of the dream, I was in a bar and when the ‘new’ song began to play, people who were drinking away their sorrows began to put down their drinks. They began to weep because of the anointing upon the music. As the music played – like the anointing that was on David as he would play his harp before Saul and drove out the evil spirits – it was the same ancient anointing that filled the bar! Salvation was being poured out during the ‘new’ song in the middle of the bar. I was there. I could see it and feel it. When the ‘new’ song was being played, there was a heavy weight of the presence of God EVEN in the bar as people were giving their lives to the Lord IN the bar. This is the effect that the ‘new’ music will have.
A shift and a flip are going to happen in the media and it is God’s doing. For God is going to give the awards of the world to the righteous. There will be #1 hit songs that will come out of Houses of Prayer and God’s Media Centers. God is going to raise up something totally ‘new’. God wants to touch the ends of the earth through media and music.
I saw this shift happening. That which worked yesterday will no longer work today. It will throw today’s media into a scramble because that which is arising is something that cannot be copied nor bought with a price because it is the anointing behind the media and the sound. This will happen when lovesick worshipers are not moved by anything except passion for Jesus and intercession. This passion will lead their heart straight into that which is ‘new’ in music, TV, computer games, video games, all types of recordings, Broadway, art, dance, and every single facet of media.
I saw huge downloads exploding in the minds of those who ‘wait on the Lord’ (see Isaiah 40). I saw painters beginning to paint new colors. I saw colors in heaven that the earth has not yet seen. They were fluorescent colors and even in the paint there was a shine and a glow that will greatly surpass anything that the world has seen.
I also saw the Lord giving strategies in computer games and video games. I was watching young boys and girls playing computer games and it was literally leading them into the knowledge of God. In the midst of this game, I could see ‘revelation’ awakening their young minds and hearts.
In the dream I also saw a day coming when people will no longer turn to the news of the world. Instead, they will tune in to God’s Media Centers and see what God is saying because of the clarity of the Word of God released through the prayer movement in the earth. The news media as we know it today will sell out more and more to what people want and they will become full of lies and celebrity gossip. However, I did see a major network hop on board with God’s Media Army.
For there is a divine switch coming in:
- Media
- Movies
- Music
- Art
- Dance
- Games
- Broadway
God is doing something new and it is in new geographical places. I could see different hubs all over the US — seeing them in Kansas City, Nashville, Phoenix, Palm Springs and Charlotte, North Carolina. There will be Media Centers in many places but these were only the ones I saw in the dream.
After I had this dream, I was invited by my friend, Joshua Mills, to be a part of ‘Heaven Invading Hollywood’. It was a night of worship right at the gates of Paramount Pictures. I found myself walking around in the back lot of Paramount Pictures. I felt as if I was walking ‘IN’ my dream because I had already been there. I was walking around the back lots and studios of that which I had seen in dreams. I was in amazement and I knew God was up to something.
Now, coming up this August 23-26th, 2010, Patricia King of XP Media is hosting the first Christian Film Festival as God is stirring His friends to take back the media. It’s a great invitation to the divine interruption in media. and you are invited to be a part of the greatest show on earth.
