Prophet: 6 Effective Ways to Compel Evil Spirits to Leave
Jesus had authority over demons.
Wherever Jesus went, crowds gathered. Demoniacs were often healed in those crowds.
In some cases, the demons became disruptive (see Mark 3:10-11 and Luke 4:41; see also Acts 8:7, where demons shrieked in Philip’s large meetings as they were driven out of people).
Most of the time, Jesus commanded the unclean spirits not to reveal His identity:
“In the evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were possessed with demons. The whole city was gathered at the door, and He healed many who were sick with various diseases and cast out many demons. And He did not let the demons speak, because they knew Him” (Mark 1:32-34).
Regardless of the behavior of the demons, Jesus drove them out with as little as a single word (see Matt. 8:16). He also healed people who were “troubled by impure spirits” (Luke 6:18, NIV). This seems to imply a lesser degree of demonic influence—”affliction” or “oppression” as opposed to “control” or “possession.”
James Goll: My Prophetic Perspective on Bob Jones’ Chiefs’ Prophecy
A flurry of prophetic words have come forth concerning the Kansas City Chiefs’ win in Super Bowl LIV, including Bob Jones’ word from the 1980s. After much prayer and contemplation, I felt it would be good to add my personal prophetic perspective to the composite of words being released.
You may wonder, Why another word on this subject?
At this point and time in my life, I feel I am one of the voices that can help to bridge the recent “prophetic past” to the present and into the future. One of the mandates upon my life—confirmed to me in several near-death experiences—is to be a voice of prophetic reason in a tumultuous age.
Yes, I had a lot of personal history in the 1980s and 1990s with seer parabolic prophet, Bob Jones. He emerged on the scene with his eyes all aglow with heaven’s message and his socks hanging down to his ankles.
There was no one quite like Jones! He not only talked in parables; he was one.
Prophet: 15 Keys to Simplifying Dream Interpretation
Walking in dream language and tapping into the mind and heart of God can be an exciting and exhilarating journey. But understanding and interpreting the revelation He gives in dreams can often be a complex and even confusing process.
These 15 keys will help you to simplify the process of dream interpretation:
1. Most of all, dreams should be interpreted on a personal basis first (John 10:3).
2. Most dreams should not be taken literally. They need interpretation (Dan. 1:17; Gen. 40:8).
3. God will use familiar terms that you know (Matt. 4:19).
4. Ponder on the dream or revelation and ask the Holy Spirit for insight (Dan. 7:8, 8:15-16; Luke 2:19; 1 Cor. 2:10-12).
How You Can Soar With Holy Spirit’s Prophetic Anointing
Eagles are everywhere in the Old Testament; have you noticed? It’s because God is trying to use their example to teach us many things. He is making comparisons between us and this amazing bird—if only we will choose to rely on His strength for everything.
“Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary” (Isa. 40:31).
Our all-sufficient Creator does not leave us on our own any more than a mother eagle leaves her chicks on their own. And He cares for us in every way, anticipating our weaknesses and putting fresh wind under our wings day after day and year after year.
As we follow the Lord and follow His call, we can certainly get weary. He wants to show us how to have both of our wings ready—the Word of God and worshipful prayer—so that when the wind of the Spirit comes in force, we can climb up and draw beautiful circles as we wheel in the sky.
Everywhere in Scripture, eagles represent swiftness and strength—and the glory of God.
Eagles as a Prophetic Symbol
How to Release Your Prophetic Anointing Anytime, Anywhere
Today the Holy Spirit in all His fullness is being sent forth into the entire world as believers who are filled with His Spirit release His prophetic anointing, bringing impact and influence everywhere they go.
Jesus dispatched His disciples to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19) carrying the light of the world.
Great Diversity of Prophetic Anointing
I cannot emphasize enough how big God is.
We see an almost bewildering variety of gifts, anointings, ministries and combinations across the body of Christ.
James Goll: 20 Prophetic Points for 2020
As we enter the year of 2020, clear 20/20 vision is vitally important both in the natural and in the spiritual.
This requires insight from the Spirit of God and the Word of God revealing the heart of God. It is neither “near sighted” nor “far sighted,” nor is it “night blindness.”
Clarity of sight comes from equal deposits of the Word of God and the Spirit of God, combined with hands-on experience.
3 Bible Verses for 2020
“They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed” (2 Chron. 20:2).
Prophet: How to Prepare For When Satan Fights Dirty
You have to run over the devil before he runs over you.
You are standing on a battlefield (perhaps a different one than you were last year at this time). You may be standing in the middle of an army or you may be standing all alone. Are you just going to stand there, waiting to see what will happen? Or are you going to do something that will allow you to get and keep the upper hand?
King David gave us a Psalm that we should graft onto ourselves so that we can be true overcomers: “I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed” (Ps. 18:37, NIV). Earlier in the same Psalm, he expressed his utter dependency on God when his enemies proved to be too strong for him: “He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support” (Ps. 18:17-18).
He was a true overcomer—determined to make an end of his enemies, but always aware that he needed help doing it.
Why Is Satan Picking on You?
How Will You Choose to Receive Spiritual Gifts?
Since the beginning of time, the Holy Spirit has looked for people through whom He can manifest Himself.
At the time of the creation, He “hovered” like a hen over her baby chicks (see Gen. 1:2).
After the Exodus, Moses said, “Oh, that all the people of the Lord were prophets” (Num. 11:29b).
The prophet Joel foretold a day when prophecy, dreams and visions would become widespread (see Joel 2:28-29).
After Jesus came and the Spirit was given to the church, Peter announced that the day prophesied by Joel had arrived (see Acts 2:14-21).
Today, we are still living in that day and God is ministering His gifts to those who will receive them and release them to raise a dying world to true life. God wants to give us gifts so that we can spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Prophet: What Promises Are You Believing God For?
Faith matters. Faith is the constant, abiding trust in something. True faith is the constant, abiding trust in God Himself.
By that we mean faith toward God, not faith in our feelings, our circumstances or other people, even leaders.
True faith is in the present tense as distinguished from hope, which is future-oriented.
Faith comes after repentance and is of the heart, not of the mind.
Where Is Your Faith?
James Goll: 7 Ways to Shorten Your Seasons of Struggle
Battle is part of the Christian life. There is a real enemy and you were born into a war. So, seasons of struggle are a given.
But can you shorten your seasons of struggle? I believe you can, and I believe that the Bible is filled with good advice toward this end. You do not need to prolong the agony. You can arise and conquer.
One of the enemy’s ploys is to make you roll over into a passive position. When that happens, you are no longer actively engaged and the devil can roll over you. It is important to daily arise, speak to your inner man and remind yourself of the foundational truths in the Word of God! As you rise up, these truths become weapons that drive the enemy back and make quick work of the battle.
Even if you have been through a few skirmishes before, you can’t just slide into automatic pilot. It is vital to use your most effective weapons, ones that are tried and tested. These are weapons that work—but you must work them. Did you catch that? For the weapons to work, you must work them!
James Goll: Why You Need This Vital Holy Spirit Activity
Around the globe, I have taken an unofficial survey. I often ask the attendees, “What does the Holy Spirit do? What makes up the ministry of the Holy Spirit?”
I always get great answers such as the Holy Spirit is the gift giver, sanctifier, bears fruit, brings conviction, speaks to us, intercedes through the believer, magnifies Jesus, releases dreams and visions and so much more.
But one answer I have never heard from anyone anywhere.
The Holy Spirit Listens!
One of the ongoing activities of the Holy Spirit is listening and then communicating.
3 Fundamental Keys to Being a Powerful Prophetic Intercessor
In prophetic intercession, the Spirit of God pleads the covenant promises made throughout history to be enacted in our day.
This inspired form of intercession is the urge to pray, given by the Holy Spirit, for a situation or circumstance about which you may have little natural knowledge. But you are praying the prayer request that is on the heart of God.
As much as any time in history, it is time for believers in Jesus to take up the call to pray what is in the heart of God to be enacted for this generation!
How Does Prophetic Intercession Work?
The Heavens Are About to Break Wide Open Over Cities—Are You Ready?
I believe we are entering an apostolic era when heavens are going to break wide open over cities. There will be teaching, revelation, expression and experiencing of this on a scale unseen at least since New Testament days, if ever. Homes, families, congregations, parks, hospitals, city halls—all will become “ground zero” for open-heaven manifestations.
I have faith for this divine realm to be extended over entire regions for protracted periods of time.
From all my years traveling in many nations and helping to light fires in many places, and having interviewed and walked with many “fire starters,” I have learned one very important principle:
Before there is ever an open heaven over a congregation or a city or a nation, there first is an open heaven over a person.
What kind of person might have heaven open above them? It is someone who becomes radically undone in the Lord, someone who is absolutely “wasted” on Jesus. Whenever heaven opens over an individual, they carry that open heaven with them wherever they go and become climate-changers. They become history-makers.
God is looking for candidates in this generation who will be seated with Christ in the heavenly places and call forth God’s destiny and design into the earthly realm. It has happened before in all historic awakenings. I am talking about ordinary folks who surrendered to an extraordinary God.
Will You Open the Door for Your City?
How You Can Encounter God Through Supernatural Dreams
Dreams are known as “the sleep language,” and since the time of creation God has brought divine revelation to mortal men and women while they are sleeping. Scripture even calls a prophet a “dreamer of dreams” (see Deut. 13:1; Num. 12:6).
Many Christians hold the mistaken impression that prophetic dream encounters are reserved for a small, elite group of especially sensitive or gifted people. But this simply is not the case.
I can testify personally that God has communicated and ministered to me in amazing ways through dreams.
For example, the Lord has used dreams to heal my emotions and give power to my personal ministry. Through dreams, the Holy Spirit enhanced my ability to open my eyes of faith and see myself as God does. Also through dreams is where I first began to carry the “burden of the Lord” of prophetic intercession in compassion for others.
James Goll: The Church Must Stop Silencing the Prophetesses
Recently, there has been a stirring controversy over the issues of women in ministry and leadership roles.
I am rather shocked at some of these views resurfacing and even grabbing our attention as they have. Putting down women and calling out premier leaders such as Beth Moore, Paula White Cain and others is just plain not right.
We are each accountable for the light we have. And to be honest, I was once in that narrow camp myself.
We are each on a pilgrimage and I have been on mine. Since the recent negative articles and statements have been released, the Holy Spirit has arrested my attention and reminded me of my journey in the faith as being the co-founder of Women on the Frontlines with my late wife, Michal Ann Goll.
So, I feel I should step to the plate and help undo some of the harm that has occurred as of late.

Cindy Jacobs, Paula White Cain, Dutch Sheets Launching New Governmental Prayer Initiative
A strategic new governmental prayer movement is beginning called One Voice Prayer Movement, chaired by Paula White Cain, Todd Lamphere, Dave Kubal and Jon & Jolene Hamill. Others such as Mike and Cindy Jacobs, Dutch Sheets and myself help to comprise the core team for this valiant new effort.
In June while ministering in Miami at King Jesus Ministries, I proclaimed that soon there would be the beginning of the greatest governmental prayer movement in the history of the United States—and possibly be a model for governments of the nations. I had been given dreams at the beginning of 2019 where I saw that a united prayer force would converge to intercede for all three branches of government and eventually cover in prayer every cabinet member. I waited for the right location and time and released this prophetic word in June at Apostle Maldonado’s School of the Supernatural.
Let’s Make History Together
3 Vital Principles for Understanding the Prophetic
Early in the modern prophetic movement in 1988, I remember learning the importance of the three-stage process of properly handling revelation. These three basic but essential principles each build upon one another: (1) revelation; (2) interpretation and (3) proper application.
Without discovering that framework, we might have continued to take every word literally, never realizing that God might sometimes speak in symbolic language. These three principles have become vital building blocks for understanding the prophetic.
We also learned there is a trifold nature of the prophetic. It is: 1) partial; 2) progressive and 3) conditional. So, let me build on these foundational principles with some additional understanding to unpack the anatomy of a prophetic word.
What My Prophetic Encounter on Yom Kippur Revealed About Our Turbulent Times
In today’s global society we continue to see an increase of violence, rampant shootings, riots, tumultuous weather patterns, racial strife, instability in North Korea, chaos in Syria and the Middle East, Russia’s re-emergence, and wars and rumors of wars (Matt. 24:3-14).
How are we to respond in these perilous times? (2 Tim. 3:1). These events leave us with a simple choice that we must make. This one question must be answered: Will we respond in fear or faith?
In a time of confusion, strife and fierce anti-Semitism, the stateswoman Corrie Ten Boom declared, “There is no panic in heaven! God has no problems, only plans.”
If the church is pushing the panic button instead of faith, trust, prayer and confidence toward God, what do we expect the world to look like? Rather, we must create a culture of faith instead of fear!
What Time Is It?
8 Holy Spirit Proclamations for the Hebrew Year 5780 and Beyond
Often at the head of the new Hebrew year, the Holy Spirit speaks concerning things to come. As I have prayed and sought the face of God, I have been given a series of revelations concerning the new era we have entered as of 5780 and beyond. In this period, we are not just crossing from one year to the next, but from one era or decade to the next.
I have chosen the title “8 Proclamations for 5780 & Beyond.” Let me unpack this one phrase at a time. The number 8, of course, is the number of a new beginning. The number 5 is the number of grace and 7 is the number of completion. So, by grace we are completing past assignments and we are moving into a new decade in the kingdom of God. We are crossing over from one side of the river where promises are revealed to the other side where promises are manifested.
I agree with others that we are shifting from an emphasis of the “Year of the Eye” to the “Year of the Mouth.” But since my expertise is not in Hebrew numeric symbolic interpretation, I feel safer to stay in my lane of prophetic teaching, encounter and revelation. With that in mind, here are the proclamations I have been granted.

How You Can Receive Divine Insight By Praying in the Spirit
Praying in the Spirit activates the grace of God to pray perfect prayers in any situation. These prayers go beyond our own agendas and beyond our rational understanding.
When we pray in the Spirit, divine insight enlightens our hearts so that we can hit the mark when we pray.
