Did you know if you are a “Born Again Believer in Christ Jesus” there is a warrior inside you? That’s right, you have an inner warrior.
Sometimes you need to push pause. Sometimes you need to sit down and count the cost. There is a time to reevaluate. There is a time to get reequipped. But then there is also a time to reach inside yourself and say, “Hmm, I’m not a quitter!” And then guess what? You enter back into the arena—and allow the warrior to rise up on the inside of you!
I am an observer. I am an observer of my own life; it’s called self-assessment. I’m an observer in the body of Christ because of the role I play; and I’m an observer in my family.
And I have to tell you something, “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
Sometimes as you go through difficult seasons in your life, you might need to sit on that bench in the corner for a moment or two and take a deep breath. But like a coach, let me challenge you. Put that mouthpiece back in your mouth, and when that bell rings—get back up and enter the ring again! Because guess what? There is a fighter who lives inside of you!
Lift Up Your Eyes, Warrior
I’m going to tell you something—there is a warrior who lives inside of you if you know Christ Jesus. Did you know that?
Hey, you just don’t put your head down with your chin sitting right over your chest. The Bible says, “Lift up your eyes unto the hills from where comes your help. My help comes from the Lord.”
When your chin is down on your chest, your eyes are on yourself. You run out of strength. I’m recovering from my fourth back surgery. I can’t believe I am saying that because you know, I never wanted one. Not only two, or three, but four—a revision, which is the hardest of them all. And don’t feel sorry for me right now. Okay?
That’s why I’m looking at Isaiah 53 where it says, “and He carried their pains.” I’m looking at that in the middle of the night when the pain is so intense. I’m looking at this Bible verse in a way I didn’t need to before. And I’m asking, “Did You carry this or not?”
God says He gives grace to the weak. So I am simply telling Him that I qualify. I’m asking for grace and strength because I don’t have any more strength left of my own.
But when I lift eyes off of myself and I cast my cares upon Him, I find grace and to contend for the promise that was not previously there.
Yes, Greater Is He
I want to tell you about one of the greatest weapons of our warfare. It’s, “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
If you’re born again, there is someone else who is inside of you. He’s a winner, not a loser. Jesus is your inner warrior!
He overcame, and He’s a resurrected one. He is the greatest weapon of spiritual warfare. I just want to pray right now with you on this exhortation. We always want to pray the word, and pray our revelation.
So let’s agree in prayer together.
Father God, I bless Your people right now with this truth. There is no revelation greater than Christ in us. So in our times of weakness, I pray that You will bring a reminder for us to not reach inwardly in self-reliance, but to reach into the inner well of “Christ in us the Hope of Glory.” So I bless Your people I as call forth the revelation of the inner warrior by declaring, “Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.” Amen and Amen!
