When Watchmen Are on the Walls

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you.”  — Psalm 122:6

Hello Friend,

On Sunday we gathered together to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the Middle East. This is a movement I’ve been honored to be part of from its beginning alongside Robert Stearns, Jack Hayford, and John Paul Jackson. It is not just history; it is an ongoing call for God’s people to intercede faithfully.

It's been two years since October 7th, and today I want to invite you to pray for Jerusalem alongside me. In this weeks video, I teach you the importance of this type of intercession, and give you a model you can replicate in prayer groups.

Jerusalem is the only city named in Scripture for all people to pray for, and God moves when His people obey. Psalm 122:6 says, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: may they prosper who love you."
As you begin to pray and intercede for Jerusalem, below I've shared a video and a practical teaching on how you can use this prayer session to replicate it in your communities.

How to Lead an Hour of Prayer
This time of prayer serves as a template for those who want to gather others to intercede for Jerusalem. You’ll learn how to structure an hour of prayer—how to focus, flow, and build a rhythm of agreement with Heaven.

How to Be Biblically Grounded and Highly Prophetic
We are called to stand on the Word while flowing in the Spirit. As intercessors, we don’t separate Scripture from revelation—we merge them. The prophetic must be anchored in the written Word of God.

Capturing God’s Heart for Israel
This isn’t about politics—it’s about covenant. God’s heart still burns for Israel, and when you intercede for Jerusalem, you’re partnering with His compassion and His purposes for redemption.

Be Current and Relevant, and Historically Accurate
In this teaching, we take a prophetic pulse of what’s happening right now in Israel, while remaining grounded in the historical and biblical foundations that have shaped God’s story with His people.

Every Prayer Counts and Every Sacrifice Matters
Your prayers are not in vain. Every whispered intercession, every offering of worship, and every act of faith is recorded in Heaven. When you pray for the peace of Jerusalem, you join a chorus of saints throughout the ages who have shaped history through prayer. You can watch this weeks podcast— When Watchman are on the Walls!

We have now entered the Feast of Tabernacles, Sukkot—a feast of provision, protection, and in-gathering. Spiritually, it marks the harvest and reminds us that God is faithful to bring His promises to fruition.

My prayer for you is that the Spirit of boldness, discernment, and perseverance would rest upon you, that you would rise as a watchman, and that your prayers would release God’s blessing over Jerusalem, the nations, and your own life.

You are called to stand in the gap, to pray without ceasing, and to participate in this great harvest for such a time as this. Please share this message with your prayer groups, networks, and intercessor friends. Let’s flood Heaven with unified intercession until God’s peace prevails over the schemes of the enemy.

With You In Prayer And Intercession,
James W. Goll
