THE POWER OF THE BLOOD
SEASONAL FALL 2024 WORD OF EXHORTATION

As we cross over into a new season, we approach the time of the New Hebrew Year of 5785. Yes, it is the beginning of Fall, but more importantly, we are entering into the time of the High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and eventually Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. As I have pondered this Seasonal Word of Exhortation, I thought it would be good to review “The Power of the Blood.”

Our theme verses derive from Leviticus 16:18-19, where it states:

“Then he shall go out to the altar that is before the Lord and make atonement for it; he shall take some of the blood from the bull and some of the blood from the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar on all sides. With his finger he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it seven times and cleanse it, and consecrate it from the impurities of the sons of Israel.”
