Don’t You Give Up! – Keep Your Hand on the Plow

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Galatians 6:9 NKJV

As I spent time listening for the heart of the Lord for you this month, I kept sensing His deep concern for the inner strength of His people. Many have grown weary. This hasn’t happened overnight— but has happened over time.

With this in mind, I believe the Holy Spirit is speaking a clear and loving word of exhortation to you.

Don’t you give up.

The Scripture I want to share and encourage you with is from Galatians 6:9 (NKJV):

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

A key point I want you to focus on is let us not grow weary while doing good.”

I want to invite you to look at this Scripture in a fresh way. Part of why you might have grown weary is because you have been doing good which can explain why you are experiencing resistance. I’ll say it again.. Do not grow weary. You ARE doing good.

Keep Your Hand on the Plow

There is a time for sowing and a time for reaping, and God is faithful in both seasons. Harvest season is real, even when it feels delayed. The temptation in times of chaos and confusion is to loosen your grip. It is designed to get you sidelined by discouragement, distractions, or the drama of others.

But I urge you: keep your hand on the plow.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Faithful is He who called you. He will bring it to pass. You are going to reap the harvest you have sown.

This Is a Heart-Check Time

More than anything, I sense the Lord saying this is a heart-check season. God is as interested in the process of you becoming the person He created you to be, as He is in the promise of promotion.

Ask yourself honestly: How is my heart right now?

All things truly can work together for good when we allow the Holy Spirit to examine, cleanse, heal, and realign us. Don’t rush past what God wants to do in you while you wait for what He wants to do through you.

A Revival Lesson From Argentina

I’m reminded of a revival story from Argentina in 1952 involving R. E. Miller. The Lord instructed him to close his small church and devote himself fully to prayer. For six months he prayed with no visible results and no new direction. When he finally asked the Lord what to do next, the answer was simple:

Continue.

That one word carried the seed of revival. If you’re wondering whether your obedience still matters, hear the Lord’s word again today:

Continue.

Guard Your Focus in a Time of Distraction

One of the greatest dangers right now is distraction. There is a swirl of controversy, comparison, and emotional pull that can quietly draw you away from your assignment. Not every issue is yours to address. Not every conversation is yours to enter.

Stay in your sphere. Resist the vortex of volatility. Do not let drama push you off course.

Renew the Inner Man

Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:16:

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”

The renewal of the inner man is something we participate in daily. This happens through the Word, prayer, and building ourselves up in community and our faith.

Quitters Never Win

Persistence is part of God’s design. Scripture teaches us to ask and keep asking. It shows us to seek and keep seeking, knock and keep knocking. Persistence is not pestering God. It is proof that we believe He is good and faithful.

Here’s a quote from my book Lifestyle of a Watchman, that speaks to this idea.

“Evidently, the Lord is not irritated in the least by our often repeated requests. I wonder if sometimes He postpones His answers purely to motivate us to pray longer and harder, and furthermore to force us to ask Him for everything we need instead of operating by our own strength and limited wisdom.”

Sometimes the Lord delays answers not to deny us, but to deepen us. This is an opportunity to draw us into greater dependence on Him rather than our own strength or understanding.

I leave you with this exhortation, repeated because it matters:

Don’t you give up!

Return to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ Jesus. Guard your heart. Stay focused. Do not get distracted from doing good. And trust that the harvest will come.

During this time, I want to encourage you to grab a copy of my book Lifestyle of a Watchman . It will help you walk out this season with focus and clarity.

God bless you!
