Some years ago, I was teaching from Habakkuk 2:14 that the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas. The topic, to a certain degree, was theoretical. Then the Holy Spirit asked me, How will that happen? Not knowing the answer, I said back to Him, Oh, how will that happen?

Always remember, the best way to answer a question from God is to ask Him what the answer is. He does not ask a question because He does not know the answer. Every question He asks is an invitation into greater partnership with Him.

So, while I was teaching the class and declaring God’s Word, I was actually having a personal exchange with the Holy Spirit, although the students did not know about this behind-the-scenes discussion.

Clay PotsWhen I returned the question to God, He answered, One clay pot at a time. I will fill the earth with My glory one clay pot at a time.

We are those clay pots. We are the clay pot watchmen who are to be ready and prepared to cover the earth with the glory of the Lord.

Did you know that God has a calendar with appointments waiting to be fulfilled? Watchmen remind God of the appointments on His calendar that have not been fully met and fulfilled. The task of a watchman is by appointment. It means being chosen for the divine privilege of composing history before the throne of the Almighty.

I want to be a history-maker. That is the goal of my life. Are you ready to make a difference? The recipe for enduring change is that simple. Yes, prayer provokes change!

Are you taking your biblical place on the wall for Israel’s sake? Israel is the apple of God’s eye (Zechariah 2:8) and the people through which He has chosen to bring salvation and blessing to the whole earth. His heart is that all Israel will be saved (Romans 9:26). Just as the call for watchmen went out in Isaiah’s time, the Holy Spirit is releasing this strategic call again in the 21st century for His bride to pray for Israel.

It seems as if God has been conducting a monumental chess game throughout the ages, waiting for the strategic moment in history to make His move. Yes, the playing board has been set and the pieces have been chosen. The call for watchmen is the strategic positioning of His intercessory knights and prophetic bishops being brought together for a sweeping move—one that all the world will observe closely. No eye will miss this mysterious and fascinating time. We must pray, therefore, for our eyes to be opened with spiritual understanding.

Life to the World

The Jewish people’s acceptance of the Messiah, Jesus, will lead to worldwide revival of unprecedented magnitude. Romans 11:15 says that if Israel’s rejection of Christ “proves to be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” Wow!

I was once interviewed for a documentary focused on the literal raising of the dead. I was asked, “What would be the greatest resurrection you would like to see?” My response? “One of the greatest resurrections would be that the Body of Christ is raised from the dead, and that we would take our place on the walls for Israel’s sake.” I firmly believe that we are that important for Israel’s salvation—and because her salvation is a key to worldwide revival. If Israel’s rejection of Christ meant that the Gentile world was given the Gospel of the Kingdom, resulting in reconciliation with God, what will be Israel’s reward be for their acceptance of Christ as the Messiah? God’s Word says, “Life from the dead.”

This prophecy of Isaiah—“In the days to come Jacob will take root, Israel will blossom and sprout, and they will fill the whole earth with fruit” (27:6)—refers to more than just natural fruit. Praying for Israel is one of the major keys to world revival. The Jewish people being awakened out of their sleep and beholding their Messiah will create a divine acceleration into a time when hundreds of thousands, if not literally millions, turn to Jesus as their Messiah. There is nothing more potent than a Jewish believer telling others about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Worldwide AwakeningIsrael’s acceptance of her glorious Messiah will be used to create the greatest spiritual awakening this planet has ever seen. The whole earth will be filled with the fruit of revival and the glory of God. I pray toward this end! Will you join me?

Crying Out for God’s Glory

The Lord answers when we cry out to Him. And Israel’s history shows a clear pattern of people who, time and again, found themselves in trouble, cried out to the Lord and saw Him deliver them out of their adversity.

It is my conviction, and that of many other leaders in the Body of the Messiah, that the Holy Spirit is opening a strategic window of opportunity for the Gentile Church to arise “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14). We must pray and take a stand as never before in all of Church history for God’s purposes to be fulfilled in Israel, in the Jewish people and in all the descendants of Abraham.

The Church in this pivotal hour is recovering the lost weapon of fasting. Spiritual crisis intervention is launched from the biblical foundation of prayer with fasting.

Will you join me? Let’s pray until Israel’s destiny is met and fulfilled.

Will you lift up your voice to fill up every clay pot with His glory? Will you join me? Let your cry arise. Receive your appointment as a vessel of history-making intercession for such a time as this. Allow the Holy Spirit to give you guidance and instruction.

A Personal Prayer

Lord God, I ask that a loud cry would arise within me. When I call out to You in times of distress, I know with confidence that You hear and will answer quickly. Hear my prayer, O Lord. Thank You for listening to my cry for help. Listen to the cries of Your people Israel, and give me Your heart of compassion for them. Arise and have compassion on Your people. I pray that Your servants would take great pleasure in Israel and have Your heart of compassion for her condition. Give me Your heart, O Lord, and let the apple of Your eye become the center of my vision. Hear Your people’s collective prayers. Be gracious to Israel and all people of the Middle East. I cry out for all Israel to be saved and that your glory would cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Bring worldwide revival, awakening, and transformation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
