Hello Friend,
As I have waited before the Lord for a word to frame the beginning of this new year, one phrase has been resounding deeply in my spirit:
Aligned for battle: Watching the dominoes fall.
We have begun 2026 has begun powerfully! The sense of acceleration, shaking, and divine movement is unmistakable. This is a moment that requires positioning, discernment, and readiness.
The scripture that anchored my spirit comes from Isaiah 21:5–8,
“Prepare the table, set a watchman in the tower. Eat and drink. Arise, you princes, anoint the shield… Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he sees.”
This passage speaks clearly to the hour we are in: a call to be alert, aligned, and prepared for action.
Aligned for Battle
Notice the instruction: anoint the shield. In the New Testament, Paul tells us that the shield of faith extinguishes the fiery darts of the evil one. The darts still come, but we are not defenseless. We are graced, positioned, and empowered.
Alignment matters and we are better together, aligned for a purpose, and aligned for battle.
A Watchman’s Call
The Lord says, “Set a watchman.”
A watchman listens carefully, sees clearly, and responds faithfully. This is not a casual posture. It is a disciplined and vigilant lifestyle. The watchman stands ready in times of quiet and in moments of sudden action. We are in one of those moments now.
Watching the Dominoes Fall
On New Year’s Day, I was given a vivid vision. I saw dominoes carefully aligned, each one placed intentionally. Then a finger reached out and touched the lead domino. Instantly, a ripple began, and the dominoes fell one by one, in sequence. It reminded me how long it can take to align the pieces, but how quickly everything can change once the first one falls. I believe we are living in such a time.
A Lion Has Roared
In Isaiah’s vision, the watchman cries out, “A lion, my lord!”
Scripture tells us, “The lion has roared—who can but hear?” I sense the Lord releasing a fierce anointing, marked by worship, praise, and freedom. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. A roar has gone forth, and its effects are rippling outward.
A Time of Volatility and Opportunity
These are times of shaking and volatility. There will be temptations toward offense, fear, and greed. Some will claim innocence while systems shift and economies tilt. Yet, know this: the righteous Judge sees all things.
He is working even in the shaking toward. The greatest global harvest the world has ever known is on the horizon. “Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.”
A Critical Juncture in History
I lived through the days when the Berlin Wall fell. I stood there. I hold pieces of it even now. What once seemed immovable came down and history changed. I believe we are standing at another such juncture.
Walls are coming down again! Walls that affect freedom, economies, and the advance of the gospel of the Kingdom. What happens next matters.
The Lifestyle of a Watchman
A watchman is alert, awake, and ready. He guards, protects, and discerns.
He is not reactive. He is prepared. This month in our ministry, we are focusing on my book The Lifestyle of a Watchman, because this is not a moment for passivity. It is a moment for clarity, courage, and alignment.
For Such a Time as This
I find myself consumed by the simple vision I received on New Years Day:
Dominoes.
Aligned.
Touched.
Falling.
One after another, falling.
We are here for such a time as this. May we be aligned for battle. May we watch with discernment. And may we be ready to act as the Lord moves powerfully in our midst.
