“Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:32
I want to take a few moments to share a special update with you, both ministry and personal, and to do so from a place that is very near to my heart.
The passage I want to anchor this in is Luke 24:32. I believe we all need our own “road to Emmaus” experiences, and not just once, but again and again, where Jesus draws near, opens the Word to us, and causes our hearts to burn warmly within.
Ministry Update
I have now crossed the threshold of more than 50 years in full-time ministry, and I have released more than 50 books.
In this season, I find myself asking the Lord about lineage and legacy. What is it that He still desires for me to accomplish? What messages are yet to be released? What shadow am I still meant to cast for those who are coming behind?
My heart continues to be turned toward mentoring, impartation, and helping others walk in discernment, wisdom, and purpose.
We are also in a season of fresh expression. Our website has been renewed, the branding has been refreshed around The Discrnr, and the podcast has been repositioned to reach a broader audience than ever before.
We have re-engaged with Charisma Podcast Network, and we are also now on iHeartRadio, along with YouTube, iTunes, Rumble, and other platforms. Our potential audience is broader than it has ever been.
Ongoing Ministry Expressions
I want to express my gratitude for every staff member, team member, board member, advisor, partner, and friend who has served with Ministry to the Nations, Encounters Network, and God Encounters Ministries over the years.
It has been a roller coaster ride at times, and also a grand adventure. I am deeply grateful for the people the Lord has given to walk with me in different seasons of this journey.
Global Prayer Storm continues to grow. We have now hosted our third Day to Pray for the Prophets, we have established 10 days of devotional prayer leading up to that day each year, and we are looking at future possibilities that include a global prayer app to help believers around the world engage in united prayer.
I am also grateful for GEM Missions, where we continue to share the Father’s heart through Bible distribution, emergency relief, and support of ministries around the globe.
I often describe what we are doing as a “Mary and Martha in the same house” expression of ministry, where Global Prayer Storm represents sitting at the feet of Jesus in worship and intercession, and GEM Missions represents going out to serve in practical ways.
Both are needed, Both belong together.
The Mentoring with James program is also in a season of reconfiguration. It remains intact but there will be exciting future shifts, and I believe there are important things still ahead in partnership with Empower 2000.
A Personal Health Update
I also want to share honestly with you about my health journey. I have been under ongoing medical supervision for many years, and that journey has included cancer, multiple surgeries, chronic pain, and continuing physical limitations.
At times, I am doing fairly well. At other times, I deal with intense pain, sleep disruption, and real discouragement. I still believe in miracles, and I continue to pray that miracles are mine, that miracles are coming to me, and that miracles are flowing through me.
My ability to travel has been significantly limited, both internationally and within the United States. That has affected not only my public ministry opportunities, but also the exposure of this ministry and the distribution of resources.
I want you to know how thankful I am for your prayers, your patience, and your continued support during this season.
Fresh Dream Encounters
In the midst of this season, the Lord has also been ministering to me through significant dream encounters that have brought fresh courage and renewed resolve.
In one dream, I woke up singing, “Climb every mountain…” It was more than a memory. It was a call to rise again, to face the mountain before me, and to continue forward with renewed strength.
In another dream, I was with my “best friend“ and a bill of 110 dollars and “some change“ needed to be paid, and instead of carrying the burden myself, I heard the words, “I’ve got you covered.”
The message was clear to me. Jesus has already paid the bill. He is still covering what I cannot carry, and I believe He is saying to many of us in this hour that change is coming.
I want to be transparent with you. Because of the limitations on my travel, the ministry finances are at one of the lowest points they have been in recent years.
When I am not able to be out in front of people as often, it affects speaking opportunities, resource sales, and the overall support that helps sustain the ongoing work of this ministry.
So I want to ask you to prayerfully consider standing with us. If you are already a partner, thank you. If you have given in the past, thank you. And if the Lord is stirring your heart to help again, I would deeply appreciate your support.
Whether you give toward God Encounters Ministries, Global Prayer Storm, GEM Missions, or personal support, I am grateful.
We truly are better together!

Prayer and Blessing
Father, in Jesus’ great name, I am so thankful that through the work of the cross, we can come into a living and vibrant relationship with You.
I pray that the Lord will grant you your own road to Emmaus experience, that your eyes will be opened afresh, that the Scriptures will come alive to you again, and that your heart will burn warmly within as Jesus draws near. Amen!
Blessings,
James W. Goll
