To the Partners & Friends of GEM,
In this new episode of the Praying Discrnr podcast, my heart still carries the echo of last week’s clarion call for Integrity in Leadership. These chaotic times beckon me to continue to build on this theme. Yes, the Holy Spirit is urging us to go deeper — into a place of greater transparency and authentic honesty before the Lord.
The world is crying out for the real thing. Titles and positions seem to mean less; what really speaks loudly are hearts that have been refined by His fire. Proverbs 11:3 declares, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.” My desire is that each one of us would be guided by that same integrity until our inner life and our outward walk become one seamless witness for Jesus.
I have learned through the years that authenticity has a distinct sound. It cannot be faked. It rings true in the spirit because it carries humility, repentance, and light. This generation is not moved by polished performance; they want truth wrapped in love. And truth, even when it convicts, always sets us free.
In Romans 13:11–14, Paul calls us to wake up from our sleep. The night is almost gone, and the day is breaking. It’s time to throw off the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. My friends, it is not enough to talk about revival; we must walk in the light where Jesus Himself is our companion and our covering. Only there does His blood continually cleanse and renew us.
I must also speak plainly. Forgiveness is abundant, but it cannot flow where there is no acknowledgment. When we confess and bring our hidden things into the light, healing begins. This is not a word of condemnation; it is an invitation to freedom.
As I reflect on Day 5 — Awakened and Authentic from my book The Lifestyle of a Prophet, seven truths stand out as pathways for those who long to live awake and honest before God:
- Be Spiritually Alert. Awaken your spirit as the trumpet is sounding for the watchmen to arise.
- Cast Off Darkness. Choose holiness that swims against the current of culture.
- Be an Army of Light. Truth is your weapon, love is your banner, and purity your covering.
- Live Transparent and Honest. Stop hiding. What you reveal, God can heal.
- Flee Carnality. Let Him cleanse attitude as well as action. Purity starts in motive.
- Lean on Jesus. Let His heart become the resting place for yours. He is our life.
- Keep Priorities Right. Character is proven when no one is watching. Choose intimacy over image.
Yes, I know this message pierces, but it also heals. When light exposes darkness, grace rushes in. I share these things to call us higher — to beckon each of us into the freedom found in walking humbly with our God. Together, let us walk in the light and let His glory shine upon us.
With Grace and Love,
James W. Goll
